For years I have been fascinated by the Amish culture and way of life. I admire these people for their quiet, hardworking lives. I think they set an example of how life could be if we retained our strong sense of community and family, the belief that ALL work should be carried out with total commitment but primarily that a strong faith in God is central to all areas of life. I want to spend December focusing and reflecting on this quietly, amidst all the hustle and bustle that our not so plain and simple lives bring.

My Nan stayed with some Armish people for a while and they were lovely. I love their simplicity of living too.
